Sodium Allyl Sulfonate finds its most common application as a primary agent in formulation of nickel brightener. It is known to have chemical formula C3H5NaO3S and molar mass of 144.12 g/mol. Having incompatibility with strong oxidizing agents, this chemical compound has density of 1.206 with water soluble nature. It is also used in pharmaceutical, plating, and paint formulating industries. This agent serves as an intermediate in processing systems and should be stored at temperature of -70 degrees Celsius. Sodium Allyl Sulfonate can be formulated industrially by reaction of allyl chloride with sodium sulfite.
